This Privacy Policy explains how Sizzle Digital Technologies, operating the Sizzle Social platform (“Sizzle Social”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, receives, uses, stores, shares, protects and otherwise processes personal data when you visit our websites, create or use a Sizzle Social account, fund your wallet, order services, purchase eligible digital products, communicate with us, use our API or interact with another Sizzle Social service that links to this Privacy Policy.
Our principal country of operation is Nigeria. We process personal data primarily in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (“NDP Act”), applicable regulations and directives issued by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (“NDPC”), including the Nigeria Data Protection Act General Application and Implementation Directive 2025 (“GAID”).
Depending on where you live, where your personal data is processed or the circumstances of a particular interaction, additional privacy laws may also apply. Where applicable, additional information about international privacy rights is provided in our GDPR & International Privacy Rights Policy.
This Privacy Policy forms part of the wider Sizzle Social Legal Centre. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Data Rights Policy and other policies relevant to the service you use.

We will not rely on legitimate interests where our interests are overridden by the rights and freedoms of the affected individual.
Consent and Withdrawal of Consent
Where processing relies on your consent, you may refuse to provide consent or withdraw it later.
Withdrawing consent does not make processing that occurred before withdrawal unlawful.
It also does not necessarily require us to delete information where another lawful basis permits or requires continued processing.
For example, even after you unsubscribe from promotional emails, we may retain a limited suppression record so that we know not to send you further marketing communications.
You may also continue receiving essential account, security, payment, order or legal communications where those communications are necessary for another lawful purpose.
How We Share Personal Data
Sizzle Social does not sell personal data in exchange for money.
We may, however, disclose or make personal information available where necessary for legitimate business operations, service delivery or legal compliance.

Some Sizzle Social services may be fulfilled through external service suppliers or API-connected providers.
Where necessary to fulfil the service you selected, limited order information may be transmitted to the relevant provider.
Depending on the order, this may include:
the public username or handle;
profile, page, post, channel or video URL;
service identifier;
quantity;
order reference; and
other information required to fulfil or troubleshoot the service.
We do not provide suppliers with your Sizzle Social password.

Payment processors, banks and financial institutions may process information necessary to complete, verify, reverse or investigate transactions.
Their own privacy policies may apply to information they process independently.
Professional Advisers
Where necessary, information may be provided to professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, auditors, compliance advisers or insurers, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Corporate Transactions
If Sizzle Social or relevant parts of its business are reorganised, transferred, acquired, merged or otherwise involved in a corporate transaction, personal data may form part of the information appropriately transferred or reviewed in connection with that transaction.
Any such processing remains subject to applicable data-protection law.
Legal and Regulatory Disclosure
We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
comply with applicable law;
comply with a court order or lawful regulatory request;
respond to law-enforcement authorities;
investigate suspected fraud or illegal conduct;
protect the rights or safety of Sizzle Social or others;
enforce our Terms of Service; or
establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not interpret this section as giving unrestricted access to user information. Requests for information remain subject to applicable legal requirements.
International Transfers of Personal Data
Sizzle Social operates from Nigeria, but some service providers, infrastructure providers or suppliers may operate from other countries.
As a result, personal data may in some circumstances be processed or accessed outside Nigeria.
Where Nigerian law requires safeguards for an international transfer, Sizzle Social will rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism or lawful exception recognised under applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, this may involve:
an adequate level of protection recognised by the relevant authority;
an approved or legally recognised transfer mechanism;
appropriate contractual or organisational safeguards;
a transfer necessary for performance of a contract;
explicit consent where legally appropriate; or
another lawful basis permitted under the NDP Act.
We will consider the nature of the data, the destination, the recipient and the safeguards available before undertaking transfers that require such an assessment.
Additional information may be provided in our GDPR & International Privacy Rights Policy.
How Long We Keep Personal Data
We do not aim to keep personal data indefinitely.
Retention depends on why the information was collected and whether there remains a lawful reason to retain it.
Factors we consider include:
whether your account remains active;
whether the information is required to provide a service;
transaction and accounting requirements;
applicable legal obligations;
fraud-prevention needs;
security requirements;
complaint and dispute periods;
legal limitation periods;
regulatory requirements;
whether litigation or investigation is reasonably anticipated; and
whether you have requested deletion.
Typical categories include:
| Data Category | General Retention Approach |
|---|---|
| Account information | Retained while the account is active and afterwards where reasonably required for legal, security, dispute or compliance purposes |
| Orders and service records | Retained as needed for fulfilment, support, reconciliation, fraud prevention, disputes and business records |
| Payment and wallet records | Retained for applicable financial, accounting, fraud, dispute and legal obligations |
| Support, refund and complaint records | Retained as needed to resolve the matter and demonstrate how it was handled |
| Marketing preferences | Retained while relevant, including limited suppression records after an opt-out |
| Technical and security logs | Retained for appropriate periods based on security, troubleshooting and operational needs |

How We Protect Personal Data
Sizzle Social uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against risks such as:
unauthorised access;
unlawful disclosure;
accidental loss;
alteration;
destruction;
account compromise; and
other inappropriate processing.
Depending on the system and risk involved, safeguards may include measures relating to:
access controls;
authentication;
encryption in transit or at rest where appropriate;
secure hosting;
system monitoring;
backups;
software updates;
restricted administrative access;
staff or contractor access controls;
fraud detection; and
incident management.
No internet service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Users also have responsibilities.
You should use a strong and unique password for your Sizzle Social account, protect access to your email account, avoid sharing authentication information and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Personal Data Breaches
A personal data breach may involve unauthorized access to, disclosure of, loss of, alteration of or destruction of personal information.
Where we become aware of a personal data breach, we will assess the nature of the incident and take reasonable steps to contain, investigate and remediate it.
Where applicable law requires notification to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, affected individuals or another competent authority, Sizzle Social will make the required notification in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law and any lawful exemptions, you may have rights concerning the personal data we process about you.
These may include:
Right to Be Informed
You have the right to understand how and why your personal data is processed.
This Privacy Policy is part of how we provide that information.
Right of Access
You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and request access to relevant information about that processing.
Right to Rectification
You may ask us to correct personal data that is inaccurate or complete information that is incomplete.
Right to Erasure
In circumstances provided by law, you may request deletion of personal data.
This right is not absolute.
We may need to retain certain information where another lawful basis or legal requirement applies, including for financial records, fraud prevention, disputes, security, regulatory obligations or legal claims.
Right to Restrict Processing
You may have the right to ask us to restrict particular processing in circumstances recognised by applicable law.
Right to Object
You may object to certain processing, particularly where processing is based on legitimate interests or relates to direct marketing.
Right to Data Portability
Where applicable, you may have the right to receive certain personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or request that it be transmitted to another controller where technically feasible and legally required.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent.
Rights Relating to Automated Decision-Making
Where applicable law gives you rights relating to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects, you may be entitled to appropriate safeguards, including human intervention where required.
Right to Complain
You may raise a privacy complaint with Sizzle Social.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority.
More information about exercising these rights is available on our Data Rights & Privacy Requests page.
How to Exercise Your Data Rights
Privacy requests should be submitted through our Data Rights process or sent to:
Email: contact@sizzlesocial.ng
When submitting a request, please explain:
the right you wish to exercise;
the information or account involved;
your registered email address where relevant; and
any additional information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant records.
We may need to verify your identity before disclosing, changing or deleting personal information.
Identity verification is intended to protect users against unauthorised requests.
We will not request more verification information than reasonably necessary for the circumstances.
Where a request concerns another person’s information or would adversely affect the rights of another person, we may need to limit what can be disclosed.
We aim to respond to valid privacy requests without undue delay and within applicable statutory timelines. Under the Nigerian data-protection framework, this will ordinarily mean responding within the applicable period, which may generally be 30 days, subject to lawful extensions or exceptions where appropriate.
If we cannot fulfil all or part of a request, we will provide an explanation where required by law.
Marketing Communications
Where you have subscribed to or otherwise lawfully receive Sizzle Social marketing communications, we may send information concerning:
platform services;
educational content;
new features;
promotions;
coupons;
product updates;
social media growth information; and
related Sizzle Social offerings.
You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in applicable communications or by contacting us.
An unsubscribe request does not prevent us from sending essential service communications relating to an account, transaction, security issue, refund, complaint or other operational matter.
We may retain a limited record of your marketing preference so that the opt-out can continue to be respected.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies.
Some are necessary for the website or account environment to function.
Other technologies may be used for analytics, preferences, advertising or other purposes.
Where applicable law requires consent before a non-essential technology is used, the appropriate consent mechanism should be provided.
You should be able to review applicable choices through the website’s cookie controls where available.
For detailed information about cookie categories, purposes, durations and available controls, please read the Sizzle Social Cookie Policy.
Automated Processing
Sizzle Social uses technology and automation as part of normal platform operations.
Automated systems may be used for purposes such as:
processing orders;
routing service requests;
generating status updates;
account authentication;
identifying technical problems;
preventing abuse;
detecting suspicious transactions; and
supporting other routine platform processes.
We do not intend to subject individuals to solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects unless the processing is lawful and appropriate safeguards are provided.
Where applicable law grants a right to human intervention or to challenge qualifying automated decisions, that right will be respected.
Children and Age Requirements
Sizzle Social is intended for users who are at least 18 years old or otherwise legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.
We do not knowingly target our services at children.
If we become aware that personal data belonging to a child has been provided in circumstances where we do not have a lawful basis to process it, we will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Sizzle Social improperly, please contact us.
Third-Party Websites and Social Platforms
Sizzle Social contains links to, interacts with or provides services connected with third-party websites and platforms.
These may include social networks, payment providers and other online services.
Sizzle Social does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties.
This Privacy Policy does not replace the privacy notice of:
Instagram or Meta;
TikTok;
YouTube or Google;
X;
LinkedIn;
Telegram;
payment processors;
banks; or
other independent services.
You should review the privacy policies of third-party platforms you use.
Public Information and Social Media Links
Many Sizzle Social growth services require users to provide public social media identifiers, such as:
usernames;
channel names;
profile handles;
public profile URLs;
post URLs;
video URLs; or
page links.
Information may still constitute personal data under applicable law even when it is publicly accessible.
We therefore process public identifiers only for legitimate purposes connected with the services, security, support or other lawful operations described in this Privacy Policy.
Users should not provide another person’s private information unless they are authorised and have a lawful basis to do so.
Sensitive Personal Data
Sizzle Social generally does not need sensitive personal data for ordinary social media growth orders.
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless we have specifically requested information that is genuinely necessary for a lawful purpose.
In some situations, additional information may be needed for:
identity verification;
privacy-rights requests;
fraud investigations;
legal compliance;
account ownership disputes; or
other exceptional matters.
Where sensitive data is processed, we will apply the lawful basis and additional safeguards required by applicable law.
Anonymized and Aggregated Information
We may create statistical, aggregated or anonymised information to understand platform performance, identify trends, improve services or support business analysis.
Where information has been genuinely anonymised so that an individual is no longer identifiable through reasonably available means, it may no longer constitute personal data under applicable law.
We do not use this section as a basis to treat identifiable user data as anonymous merely because a name has been removed.
Fraud, Abuse and Platform Integrity
Sizzle Social may process account, transaction, order and technical information to detect and prevent:
fraudulent payments;
unauthorised account access;
manipulation of platform systems;
abusive API activity;
duplicate or suspicious accounts;
attempts to circumvent platform rules;
malicious activity; and
other threats to Sizzle Social, our users or service providers.
Where appropriate, this processing may involve reviewing information across related transactions or activity.
Such processing will be limited to legitimate purposes and applicable lawful bases.
Account Closure and Deletion
Closing your Sizzle Social account does not necessarily result in the immediate deletion of every record associated with the account.
Some information may need to be retained for purposes such as:
transaction accounting;
fraud prevention;
refunds;
disputes;
tax or regulatory obligations;
enforcing legal rights;
security;
legal claims; or
demonstrating compliance.
Where no continuing lawful purpose applies, personal information will be deleted, anonymised or otherwise handled according to our retention practices.
A request to exercise a statutory right of erasure should be made through our Data Rights & Privacy Requests process.

You may submit a privacy complaint through:
Email: contact@sizzlesocial.ng
You may also use our Complaints & Dispute Resolution process where appropriate.
Nothing in our internal complaint process removes a right you may have to complain directly to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent data-protection authority.
International Users
Sizzle Social is operated from Nigeria.
Where an individual outside Nigeria uses Sizzle Social, Nigerian law may continue to apply to our operations while another jurisdiction’s privacy laws may also apply in certain circumstances.
Where the GDPR or another international privacy regime applies to particular processing, Sizzle Social will provide the rights and disclosures required by that applicable law.
Additional information is available in our GDPR & International Privacy Rights Policy.
